Gulbrandsen Technologies Announces Latest Geographic Expansion

Jakarta, Indonesia: March 27, 2023 – Gulbrandsen Technologies (GTI) announced today that it is further expanding capacity with its newly commissioned manufacturing plant in Jakarta, Indonesia. The facility is now producing and shipping aluminum-based water treatment products for municipal and industrial use across Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand. The plant will also commission a diverse portfolio of high-quality antiperspirant (AP) actives for the region’s growing personal care market.

GTI’s newest plant is a state-of-the-art, zero liquid discharge facility that reflects the company’s strict regulatory compliance and a commitment to sustainable practices.

According to GTI President, Vikram Singhal, the investment in Indonesia will expand the company’s reach in this important geography, while strengthening GTI’s position as a global supplier of mission-critical materials to customers around the world. “It’s an exciting period of growth for Gulbrandsen Technologies, as the demand for water treatment solutions and personal care products continues to increase – especially in Asia,” said Singhal.

“In Indonesia, specifically, water treatment is a growing industry that presents us with many new opportunities to serve the evolving needs of a fast-developing country. Being located in Jakarta enables GTI to seamlessly supply the region, while also establishing redundancy and improving the resiliency of our entire global supply chain.”

Singhal added that the new facility aligns with customers’ future needs and growth expectations. “From both a capacity and location standpoint, the Indonesia plant keeps us in-sync with customers’ anticipated needs, especially in the AP market,” he said.

“Gulbrandsen Technologies has been around for more than 39 years. Our customers know us as a responsible, dependable supplier with a reputation for innovation and collaboration,” Singhal concluded. “Our communities know us as a good neighbor, investing in the places we work and live. Perhaps most importantly, we strive to provide a rich professional experience for our employees, so that we attract and retain the world class talent that enables our success.

Many thanks to everyone who made our new operations in Indonesia possible. We look forward to a long and prosperous future here!”
