For many in the Personal Care industry, 2023 marks a return to exhibition halls and presentation stages around the world. This year, companies like Gulbrandsen Technologies, Inc. (GTI) are again participating in full measure at important events such as in-cosmetics Global and the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Annual Suppliers Day.
According to Marta Barriuso, General Business Manager for GTI’s Personal Care Division, these events are critical for suppliers to build and nurture their customer relationships. “The in-cosmetics show was very good for us this year. Our customer meetings and engagements were back to pre-COVID levels, keeping our team busy throughout all three days of the show.”
Barriuso said the most prominent themes of the event revolved around supply chain resiliency, sustainability, ingredient innovation and natural/naturally sourced products.
“When it comes to security of supply, our customers were excited to learn how GTI is building capacity with its newly commissioned manufacturing plant in Jakarta, Indonesia,” she said. “This expands the company’s reach in this important geography, while strengthening GTI’s position as a global supplier of mission-critical materials to customers around the world – including a diverse portfolio of high-quality antiperspirant (AP) Actives for the world’s growing Personal Care market.”
In addition to its world-class supply chain, Barriuso added that GTI’s reputation for innovative, collaborative relationships is well-known and appreciated. “Our customers know us for listening carefully and deeply understanding their needs. We’re always looking for new ways of thinking and opportunities to put new ideas to the test, like our latest molecules used to create better, more effective antiperspirants.
That’s why these events are so important to companies like GTI. We get in touch with the field and hear what people are saying – their expectations for the future, and what they need to be successful today and tomorrow.”
